Wine for a Cause

What’s better than wine? A wine that gives back.

A few months ago, I attended an event where I had the pleasure of discovering One Hope.  One Hope is a winery where each bottle purchased, supports a cause.  I am an animal lover, and completely supportive of a wine that supports pet adoptions.  One Hope doesn’t stop there though; they support veterans, clinical trials for women with breast cancer, diapers for babies, providing clean water and much more.  My favorite Pinot Noir is made by One Hope, and each bottle supports pet adoptions.  You can purchase gift sets, build your own pack, and my favorite feature, you have the option to purchase from Amazon.  You can learn more about One Hope here.

Since finding One Hope, I’ve come across several other wineries that give back.  Chateau La Paws supports no-kill shelters, and their labels feature pictures of rescued shelter dogs.  In 2015, they donated $100,000 to North Shore Animal League America to support animal rescue and adoptions.  Check out their website to see if their wine is available in your area.

A recent Instagram follow brought my attention to Delaney Blue.  Delaney Blue is a white wine that supports Diabetes awareness and research.  The wine is named after Delaney Friend, who’s family is no stranger to wine.  After Delaney was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, the family set out to support research for a cure.  Right now, Delaney Blue is focused on a Sauvignon Blanc.  To learn more, visit here.
